I don't buy it, not one bit.
30 years ago, the world was screaming about global COOLING. Now, suddenly, they're screaming about global warming. Yes, the global temerature has risen 0.6 degrees between 1870 and 1997. But 0.4 degrees of that was before 1940! Now add the fact that since 1997 the global temperature has dropped (yes, dropped) 0.2 degrees, which puts us right back in the 1940's era of tempertures.
Sure, the climate is changing. Its been changing on the planet for untold millions of years! What idiot would think that for some strange reason it would suddendly stop?
As for CO2, it comprises less than 3% of our atmosphere. Of that, less than 1% is man-made. Do the math, less than 1 one-hundred-thousandth of the CO2 in the atmospher is man-made. That's like a cup full of sand on a Florida beach. It takes a very special mind to think that by lowering man-made CO2 by 10% (hang on... we're down to less than one-millionth!) is going to suddenly affect the climate.
Face it folks, do you not think that if mankind could affect the climate in any way, we'd have done so by now?
Nope. I just don't buy it. The global warming / climate change "sky is falling" just doesn't wash. Its nothing more than a political platform going after emotions through outright lies.
