Why do men and women think that what will work on one man or woman, will work on every one? Are we all totally clueless? Here are some examples of what men and women do to TURN US OFF, but yet, turn other women or men on!!
1. Bragging – Gee, do we really want to hear about how much money he has or makes? How much he spent on his last girlfriend? Or, how great he is in bed? NO. These arrogant misfits of society do get their girl.. well, only the ones that are not interested in anything more than what is in it for them. They’re smart, but dumb at the same time, because they’ll always be labeled "THE GOLD DIGGER". When people see them at parties, or social functions, everyone will be talking about them… I often wonder what happens to these women after they get dumped and no one in town will date them.. do they go off and marry a potato farmer in Idaho? Probably yes.. because he’s never heard of their reputation.
2. Flashing Cash – Guess what? there are a lot of women out there that probably make more than you do. A word of advice, keep your cash where it belongs, in the bank! Or then again, try sleeping with it.. it will probably be the only bed companion you’ll be able to get! Unless you hire a hooker!
3. Arm Candy – Now this is for both men and women – Women want those younger guys, and Men want those younger girls. If you’re planning on taking your relationship any further, as in living together or marriage.. make sure you get that pre-nuptial agreement. If will save you a lot of headaches in the long run.
4. Understanding Women – Don’t think you guys can get away with this one, as you’ll probably never understand any woman.. We are very complex creatures and somewhat moody to boot! So, to all you men out there, if a woman hears you say this.. be ready to get an earful, or a "Whatever"..
5. Thinking you're God's Gift – Hey, just because your Mom told you you’re good looking, doesn’t necessarily mean that they think so too. Some men/women may find you attractive, some not. You can love yourself as much as you want, but remember, you’re not everyone’s type!
6. Crying about your ex’s – Break time here. If you think that anyone wants to hear about your ex’s, you’re sadly mistaken. If someone asks, don’t elaborate, just tell them the facts, and try to say positive things. No one wants to hear the negativity. If you want someone to talk to, hire a psychiatrist!
7. Information Overload – I will reiterate on this one as most everyone does it.. No one wants that much information, and if they do, again, they’ll ask. Try and keep your mouth in check.
8. Looking at Other Men or Women when you’re out with Someone New – to me that would be the biggest turn-off ever. If you can’t keep your eyes on your date, don’t expect to have another. No one likes to play second fiddle on a first date... or anytime for that matter.
9. Constantly Joking – If you think you’re funny, that’s great. But, we all have to be serious sometime. Make sure Ms. or Mr. Date knows you have a serious side and can have an intellectual conversation. After all, do we joke about communicating?
I can go on and on about what’s right and what’s wrong, but I think we all get the picture. And if not, then you’re hopeless and will never change. Go away or seek help!! When you’re all better try asking for that first date!
