It has come to our attention that one or more members are pursuing the "Nigeria" scam (swindle) using the DatingDiva site.
What happens is a member sends a message to another member stating that they have millions of dollars in some bank account somewhere. The person offers you money (usually a percentage of what they say they have) to help them. This is an old scam that has bilked people out of thousands of dollars.
NEVER SEND MONEY TO ANYONE WHO CONTACTS YOU!
Some "scammers" may also be looking to obtain personal information from you. This is known as "phishing". They are trying to steal your identity.
NEVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE WHO CONTACTS YOU!
We are unable to monitor each and every message that is sent between members. If you are contacted by someone requesting money for ANY reason - contact the administrator or moderators and inform us immediately. Be sure to tell us which member has been sending the message(s).
We will immediately suspend their account, ban their IP from all DatingDiva sites, and report it to the proper authorities.
